I get an ActiveX error when I try to install the
Job Search Toolbar. Why?
You may have your Internet Explorer security settings set
on high, which prevents ActiveX controls from running. Or, you may be using
a Windows 2000 or XP computer where you don't have the administrator privileges
required to run the ActiveX control which installs the toolbar.
To ensure that your Internet security settings allow ActiveX
controls to run, perform the following steps:
- Go to Tools > Internet Options.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click on the Internet icon in the window.
- Change your security setting to Medium:
- If you see a sliding bar, move it to Medium.
- If you see custom setting information, click on the Default Level button and then move the slider to Medium.
- If you see that your security setting is already Medium, skip to
the last step below.
- Click OK.
- Click here to install the Job Search Toolbar again.
To ensure that you have administrator privileges on a Windows
2000 or XP computer, go to Control Panel and open Users and Passwords (on Windows 2000) or User Accounts (on Windows XP). Check that your
account is listed as an administrator or is a member of the Administrators
group.
- Why is it asking if I want to install and run
the Job Search Toolbar?
Your security settings are set so that you are prompted before
any programs are installed on your machine. The dialog box you see is asking
you to confirm that you do want to install the Job Search Toolbar. Click "yes"
to proceed.

Hey, where is it? I installed the Job Search Toolbar,
but I don't see it.
RESOLUTION I
If you do not see the Job Search Toolbar, go to View > Toolbars and click on the Job Search Toolbar option.
Be advised that some earlier versions of IE 5.0 have a known
problem with displaying toolbars. The Job Search Toolbar may be listed under
the name "Radio" (usually the second such listing if there are two). This
may also keep the Job Search Toolbar from initially appearing when it's first
installed. Go to View > Toolbars and click on the second
"radio" option. If you still can't see the Job Search Toolbar go to RESOLUTION II.
RESOLUTION II
1) Go to View > Toolbars and make sure "Lock The Toolbars" is UNCHECKED
2) Sometimes IE hides the toolbars to the right. There are little vertical dots that represent grips that you can click and drag to the left to reveal new toolbars and buttons that you may not have seen before. Take a look in there and if you still can't see the Job Search Toolbar go to RESOLUTION III.
RESOLUTION III
Do the following to uninstall and then reinstall The Job Search Toolbar (reinstalling with the "Lock The Toolbars" UNCHECKED (from RESOLUTION II) usually fixes this issue):
1) Click the Windows start button and select Settings.
2) Open the Control Panel folder and double-click the Add/Remove Programs entry.
3) Scroll through the list of programs and highlight "Job Search Toolbar".
4) Click the Add/Remove button (The uninstall should be almost instantaneous)
5) Go back to Internet Explorer and visit http://www.jobsearchtoolbar.com and click the "Download" button (You can also go
directly to the download page by clicking here: http://www.jobsearchtoolbar.com/toolbar/install.html)
Once the toolbar is installed you should see a page with a bunch of red arrows across the top. If they are pointing to the
toolbar then you are in business! Visit http://www.jobsearchtoolbar.com/demo.html for more on Job Search Toolbar's many
features.

I installed it. Now my browser randomly crashes. What's
up with that?
Do you have other third-party browser plug-ins installed
on your system? Some of these plug-ins don't play so well with
the Job Search Toolbar. If you
want to continue using the Job Search Toolbar, we recommend you
uninstall other browser plug-in software and see if that corrects
the problem. We appreciate your patience while we work on a solution.

JOBSEARCH TOOLBAR TESTIMONIAL
" My daily job search routine has literally been cut in half! This unique and well-designed tool gives me simultaneous access to all the major job search engines without having to constantly sign in and out of the various websites. My favorite aspect is being able to simply select the specific job title that is kept in the program memory, then select a specific geographic location, and bingo! The program presents current career opportunities as defined by my personal parameters. This eliminates a ton of individual screenings that I was previously slave to before I began using this terrific tool. Going back to the old way would be a serious disappointment for me!"
